title:

Vaterland

year: 2015
dimensions: 25/18/30 cm - 35 items
technique: cast iron castings
description: The project consists of 35 pieces of the same Prussian helmets from World War I, cast in cast iron and patinated. The project was developed especially for the exhibition entitled The Past, which does not want to pass away.

The work ideologically,  refers to masculinity, German, Prussian discipline, militarism, war, history, as well  to the cult hero of the battle of Tannenberg, the President of Germany - Paul von Hindenburg. The word Vaterland (German) - the homeland here is used in the political and national sense in contrast to Heimat - as a family land.
